As Chair of Shalom Consultancy, it is my pleasure to welcome and thank you for visiting this site. We hope as you navigate your way around, that you capture our vision, mission and purpose which will empower and support individuals, families and communities.

The term ‘shalom’ derives from the ancient Hebrew concept - often translated ‘peace’, which means wholeness, completeness, soundness, health, well-being and safety.

The Vision of Shalom consultancy emerged in 1991 with its founder members Carver and Pauline Anderson in response to the need for an alternative holistic service for individuals and families faced with challenges and disempowering situations.

As a result of our observation and experience, the Shalom team (through consultation, research and partnerships) have developed appropriate intervention strategies to address identified needs and concerns.

We are committed to providing the best possible service as a Christian run organisation, upholding principles of justice, integrity and anti-oppressive practice, enabling us to understand your spiritual concerns as well as other needs. Whether as an individual, family or organisation you hold Christian values and beliefs or feel these do not hold meaning for you, we are committed to helping and working with you.
