"Shalom Consultancy will maximise potential, empower lives towards change, and advocate wholeness"
Shalom Consultancy is a voluntary sector organisation, whose aim is to establish relationships that develop a framework where service users and strategic partnerships are able to maximise our resources, approaches and models offered for service delivery.
Our service provision will support, empower, bring ‘understanding’ and ‘hope’ to those we engage. We will continue to forge links and partnerships with groups and agencies working towards empowering children, youth, adults and families.
Shalom Consultancy is committed to developing programmes and activities that promote ‘wholeness’ and well-being of individuals, families and institutions. We are therefore fully supportive of policies and legislation that has a basis for children, youth and family care, health and development.
Shalom Consultancy is managed by an Executive Committee with a vast amount of joint experience. This includes senior management experience, counselling, group work and therapeutic approaches, training, assessment and social work methods. We acknowledge that some who will engage our service would have experienced trauma in some way. Consequently, we aim to offer a safe space to deal with issues and feelings of powerlessness, abuse, betrayal, fear, anger, guilt and distrust. We believe that such feelings and expressions can be worked through in a skilled manner as part of the healing process.
Shalom Consultancy also has the experience and expertise in working with individuals caught up in a lifestyle relating to guns, gangs, drugs and knives. This is done through processes of mediation, counselling and training.
Shalom Consultancy will work strategically with parents to raise the profile of parenting, therefore maximising parenting potential.
